MARINE CORPS STATEMENT REGARDING “SEMPER FI: ALWAYS FAITHFUL”

The film "Semper Fi: Always Faithful" does not fully address all aspects of the Camp Lejeune Historic Drinking Water issue. This is a very important concern for our entire Marine Corps family and a deeply personal matter for our senior leadership. Some individuals in our Marine family have experienced tragic health issues they believe are associated with the water they drank or used in the past at Camp Lejeune. Our hearts go out to these individuals. We are working with leading scientific organizations in an effort to provide comprehensive science-based answers to the health questions that have been raised. We also continue our commitment to find and notify those who lived or worked aboard Camp Lejeune during the affected time period, and will continue to provide them information regarding the latest scientific and medical findings. Any questions about the science should be directed to the scientific experts that have worked on this issue, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry and the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council.\
